To all of our Neighbors & Mission Partners:
I am super excited to share with you all that the Neighborhood Care Center facility will be open for our Weekly Services starting on July 2. Camp 40 (seasonal service) and FEED (landing service) will continue as normal. With these positive steps to move forward we will continue to provide Camp 40 lunches outside the Webster Community Room, as well as FEED is available to resource others to serve their neighbors in tangible ways.
What is impacted by these measures is our Weekly Services (what we offer on Tuesdays and Thursdays): Neighborhood Market, Crisis Relief, and Clothing Room Referrals.
Starting on July 2...
And then specifically to our Neighbors that shop at Neighborhood Market - for your information...
We look forward to seeing all of our Neighbors and Mission Partners again! :D

- If you do not feel well, please do not enter the care center facility. Call 217-935-6844.
- While at the care center - "Those that come together, must stay together" (ie care givers, children)
- Our facility will have a 50 person limit.
- We will be doing temperature checks and sanitization upon entry.
- Fist bumps are the proper greeting during this season.
- While masks are recommended, we will not require the use of a mask for our Neighbors. We invite everyone to do what they deem to be most safe and appropriate for their health.
- At this time, for the safety and security of all our Neighbors, our Weekly Service Mission Partners will be wearing a mask and gloves while we serve you and your family during your visit.
And then specifically to our Neighbors that shop at Neighborhood Market - for your information...
- Carts will be sanitized after each use by one of our Mission Partners.
- We will only allow 1 cart (shopper and bagger) down an aisle at the same time.
We look forward to seeing all of our Neighbors and Mission Partners again! :D

To all our Neighbors & Mission Partners:
First, I want to thank you for your patience during this season as we have had to make several alternative plans with how the Neighborhood Care Center operates as well as specifically, Neighborhood Market.
Second, we will continue to operate with a drive-thru until further notice.
Third, starting on June 1, 2020, we will be intentionally asking for a valid photo ID, and a piece of mail for proof of address. REMINDER: our care center serves all of DeWitt County, Maroa, IL and Heyworth, IL families. This will help us make sure our record are as accurate as possible.
Lastly, I want to remind every of a few things:
It will continue to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

To all our Neighbors & Ministry Partners:
We continue to operate in our new normal during this season of COVID-19. Our current operation plan will continue to April 30th, in which we will re-evaluate our situation to make a decision for May. The following is some key details about our weekly ministries and ministries that are up and coming...
We continue to offer Neighborhood Market & Crisis Relief Ministry via our COVID-19 Drive-Thru on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1PM-3PM. The drive-thru goes by our new main entry, and each car exits onto Main Street in Clinton. We still have evening hours from 4:30PM-6PM where we offer Neighborhood Market ONLY.
Know of someone you would like to reach out to? We still have FEED meals available. Call our office or email us at 217.935.6844 or carecenter.cjr@gmail.com.
Liberty Village Care Team will not take place on May 3.
Load Out Stocking Night (landing ministry) will not take place on May 4.
Our summer day camp known as Camp 40 will still be taking place on June 1. Our current circumstances make the planning process for Camp 40 challenging. Because of this Camp 40 will look different than was was intended, but we want everyone to know that we still plan to proceed with Camp 40 at this time with alternative plans. More info will come in mid-May.
We appreciate all of you!

To all our Neighbors & Ministry Partners:
We would like to share with you our new updated plan for the Neighborhood Care Center. The big message that everyone needs to know:
1) The care center facility will now be closed until April 30.
2) All special events (including Landing Ministries) that the NCC had planned between now and April 30 are canceled. This includes: April 2 Easter Egg Hunt Ministry Partner Meeting, April 4 Woodard Park Easter Egg Hunt, April 6 Load Out Stocking Night, April 6 FEED Cook (FEED meals are still available), April 7 CAMA Meeting - as well as no Clothing Room Ministry Referrals or Liberty Village Care Team
3) Ministries that will continue with alternative ministry plans are: Neighborhood Market, Crisis Relief Ministry & FEED Ministry.
4) We will also make available on our homepage and FB page a worship video every Thursday for the next 4 weeks.
5) Ministry Partners SHOULD NOT come to the care center for any reason unless asked to do so by myself or one of our Co-Lead Ministry Partners.
The Neighborhood Care Center will provide Neighborhood Market and Crisis Relief Ministry appointments via a drive-thru method - entering the parking lot via Jackson Street and exiting onto Main Street. These ministries will be available on the same days and times as usual.
The Neighborhood Care Center is committed to caring for all our communities no matter what. We want to reassure you that we are in contact with our various partnerships that make Neighborhood Market a reality - including the executive director of Midwest Food Bank, as well as area superintendents of our local school districts, and the director of DeWitt County Emergency Management. We are committed to doing kingdom work that is safe, simple, resourceful, and financially responsible, all while preparing for unexpected temporary ministry expansion. If you have any questions about our plans you can call the care center office at 217-935-6844 or email us at carecenter.cjr@gmail.com.
It will continue to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

To all our Neighbors & Ministry Partners:
As things evolve on our end, we will continue to put out written statements on this page, as well as information via text/video on our Neighborhood Care Center Facebook page.
The big message that everyone needs to know THAT HASN'T CHANGED - 1) The care center facility will be closed until March 31 (at this time), 2) Care Center ministries will continue with alternative ministry plans, and 3) Ministry Partners SHOULD NOT come to the care center for any reason unless asked to do so by myself or one of our Co-Lead Ministry Partners.
Below is some updated ministry information...
Crisis Relief Ministry/Neighborhood Market: Now that we have been operating a couple of times this week, we have some more clarity as to the best way we will continue operating these two ministries. Plan to park your car to the east of the care center facility, outside our main entrance. One of our Ministry Partners will greet you at your car. At that time you should let us know if you are visiting for a Crisis Relief Ministry appointment and/or Neighborhood Market. Our times for these ministries are not changing - these ministries will be available from 1PM-3PM on March 19, 24, 26, 31.
FEED Ministry: FEED is one of the best ministries we have for a time such as this! Know of a neighbor, family member, friend who can't get out for food? Senior? Widow? Widower? Call our care center office at 217-935-6844 and we can resource you.
May God's kingdom come near during these unique times we are now in.
It will continue to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

To all our Neighbors & Ministry Partners:
It seems like things are evolving every hour with the COVID-19 and it appears that the Neighborhood Care Center is no different. Please refer to this "update page" for how the care center is responding to the COVID-19. A link to this page will be put on our Facebook page as well.
The big message that everyone needs to know is that 1) The care center facility will be closed between now-March 31 (we will re-evaluate as we get closer to March 31), 2) Care Center ministries will continue with alternative ministry plans, and 3) Ministry Partners SHOULD NOT come to the care center for any reason unless asked to do so by myself or one of our Co-Lead Ministry Partners.
Below is some of our alternative ministry plans until March 31...
Crisis Relief Ministry/Neighborhood Market: We will be using a drive-thru method for these two ministries. Both ministries will be available from 1PM-3PM on March 17, 19, 24, 26, and 31. When you arrive to the care center we will ask you how we can help you. At this time let us know a Crisis Relief Ministry appointment and/or Neighborhood Market, and we will serve you from there.
Clothing Room Ministry Referrals/Neighborhood Market: We will be using a drive-thru method for this ministry as well. Available from 4:30PM-6PM on March 17 only (remember, we only do this on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 4:30PM-6PM). When you arrive to the care center let us know you are visiting for a clothing room ministry referral and/or Neighborhood Market and we will serve you from there.
Backpack Ministry: Thankfully, our Backpack Ministry was already preparing for District #15 spring break. Backpacks will be delivered to the schools first thing March 16 for distribution. If you have questions about distribution you need to call the schools as they are in charge of distribution. Our backpack ministry exists to serve all District #15 elementary schools. We are in communication with District #15 as well as the other area districts in our boundary area if other needs arise. If other needs arise based on school district evaluation, we are ready to make necessary adjustments.
FEED Ministry: FEED is one of the best ministries we have for a time such as this! Know of a neighbor, family member, friend who can't get out for food? Senior citizen? Widow? Widower? Call our care center office at 217.935.6844 and we can resource you with some FEED meals that you (anyone) can deliver to them. It is a great way to do kingdom work with your neighbor! You can also get a hold of our Co-Lead Ministry Partner for FEED - Hilary Sturgeon. All FEED meals will be distributed out of the Neighborhood Care Center between now and March 31. Just give us a call!
Lastly - part of our mission is to "join in where God is already working." There are a few ways we do this that are impacted between now and March 31.
CAMA Lent Service on March 18 is still scheduled to take place at 12PM at Lane Christian Church. Call Lane Christian Church for further updates.
Extended Table - a FREE community meal - will still take place on March 16 at 6PM at Clinton United Methodist Church's Great Hall. Call Clinton UMC for further updates.
The Neighborhood Care Center is a network of ministries that bring radical transformation to small town neighborhoods by releasing unified, obedient, and courageous kingdom workers. We are beyond thankful for all our Ministry Partners and neighbors that do kingdom work on a regular basis. Now is the time to let the light of Christ shine! May God's kingdom come near during these unique times we are now in. May our network of ministries thrive in this season.
It will continue to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

To all our Neighbors & Ministry Partners:
The recent challenges brought to our nation by the coronavirus pandemic have significant implications for our lives and for our families and friends. We wonder about health and wholeness. Your social media accounts are filled with far more questions than answers. At the same time, it appears many organizations will cease meeting in person for a number of weeks. We always want to look out for what is in the best interest of our neighbors and our 150+ Ministry Partners - after all everyone is made in the image of God and has value. Given the evolution of the situation, we feel compelled to take action sooner rather than later.
The Neighborhood Care Center facility will be closed until March 31 to protect the health, wellness, and safety for all families we serve and our Ministry Partners. Care Center ministries will still take place, however we will be using alternative ministry practices. We are asking Ministry Partners to stay home unless asked to serve in some manner by myself, or one of our Co-Lead Ministry Partners. Again - our motive is for the health, wellness, and safety for everyone.
Below is a list of the Neighborhood Care Center ministries that will be impacted between now and March 31: FEED Ministry, Neighborhood Market, Crisis Relief Ministry, Backpack Ministry, and Clothing Room Ministry Referrals.
We want to reassure everyone that we are still here to care for our neighbors. It will just look a little different during this season. All resource/ministry transactions such as FEED meals, groceries, Crisis Relief Ministry materials, backpacks, and Clothing Room Ministry referrals will take place at our main entrance (without entry into the care center facility) on Tuesdays and Thursday from 1PM-3PM.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 217.935.6844 or email us at carecenter.cjr@gmail.com. You can stay up to date on how we are moving forward by checking out our website, www.neighborhoodcarecenter.net, and by following our Facebook page.
We pray this prayer: May the grace of God guide our families, our neighbors, and our communities during this unique time in history.
It will continue to be "a beautiful day in the neighborhood."
